Jobs Twitter Chat
On Tuesday 8th July 2014, I'll be doing a Tweet Chat Q&A for the UK academic jobs website jobs.ac.uk – from 12.45pm GMT for one hour. The discussion will be taking place on the dedicated #jobsQ hashtag, which brings together postgraduate students and early career researchers with academics and career advice experts to develop threads concerning job applications in the UK higher education sector, careers advice, and tips for post-doctoral research.
The Tweet Chat I'll be involved in is titled "How to write a killer academic CV". Join us if you're interested in asking anything about CV writing, how to ensure your CV stands out among hundreds of others, reading and interpreting job adverts correctly, and understanding what the specific job requires. Dr Caroline Edwards is Senior Lecturer in Modern & Contemporary Literature at Birkbeck, University of London. Her research and teaching specialisms are in 21st century literature and critical theory, science fiction and post-apocalyptic narratives, Marxist aesthetics, and utopianism.
